Free community paint recycling events

Still regretting your paint decisions from 2017? Don’t let that leftover paint can be a reminder. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, clear out items such as paints, stains, shellacs and more, and safely and responsibly recycle these items for free. The event will be held at the city of Aurora’s Central Facilities, 13645 E. Ellsworth Ave. Registration is required.

Although this event is free, donations will be accepted for Aurora Water Cares, a Spirit of Aurora program.

If you can’t make it to the April event, Aurora Water and our community partners will be holding events throughout the year. Visit AuroraGov.org/Recycle for additional upcoming events, as well as accepted items and more details. In addition, you can recycle your paint for free throughout the year through a PaintCare partner.
